Just want to add onto my “I’m an MIS bro - not an AIS bro” by saying the professional society that both sides of business systems students join is also called AIS.

It’s called AIS for Association of Information Systems.

So when I would do tutoring for AIS, meaning I was available to tutor people who were failing analytics on behalf of the organization, I would get angry emails once people realized I was a subject matter MIS tutor.

And that’s my villain arc…

It wasn’t the capitalism part of business school that made me a villain - it was the attempt of business academia to make people go insane over confusing details.

Friday is my teaching day. Today I was scheduled for 3 back to back workshops over 4 hours and I tutor in different shit each week. These are the sessions I was given this week, based entirely on student demand, and how many people showed up.

1. Ethics and Risk Management - Two students showed up.
2. Business Communication and Writing Theory - Zero students.
3. Cost Accounting with Managerial Focus - About to close the effing zoom room.

So if you or your kids need to learn about business…

@Fragglemuppet it is, honestly, way harder to do it on guitar in one take than folks would imagine. So I use it as my warmup song when I sit down to compose and I know I’m going to be doing a lot of finger picking in whatever project I’m doing.
