If anybody gives me the "the GOP is now Trump's party" again, I will put my knife between my teeth (now dentist approved!), crawl through the internet pipelines and pry their wi-fi chip out of their device.

The GOP is 100% the party it has been for many decades.

The president with a vacuum in his head that puts the interstellar void to shame is simply the racist front man they needed to advance their agenda.

And *both* return a 404 page not found if you try to bring up their piece.

One could hope Colombian diplomats will express their sincere understanding for the need of tariffs imposed by the United States and inform Washington that the economic penalties unfortunately mean Colombia can no longer afford to maintain its current efforts to curb narcotics trafficking.

Most of the couple hundred pounds of oranges will become free oranges for neighbors, coworkers, homeless folks, anybody really.

Going to freeze some juice for later. No "flavor pack" needed, 😉.

One thing we haven't done is make hooch, but with the general outlook for the future, why not...

After studying Foster Kitten's latest progress for a few days, it's official: She now opens the heavy external door to the back porch at will to let herself in.

And ignores any request to shut the door behind her.

Are we seeing accelerated evolution?

Did we indeed have radioactive spiders in the house as I might have suggested?

Will we come home from work one night to find a suitcase with our clothes on the porch and the door locked from the inside?

Having grown up in a climate with temperatures best described as "like the inside of an average fridge" for much of the year, our California garden will always be fascinating to me.

It's the middle of December, and we will have peas in the garden within a week or so. The cherry tomato plants are full after their summer timeout. Cosmos and salvia bloom, as does the milkweed.

Such a nice corner of the world.
