These are my people. I’m from the West. There’s a lot of far right ppl out there but there’s an even bigger group I’d call “common-sense conservatives”(approximately) who really don’t like when the govt does stuff like this. Many families went West to have the kind of “freedom” America is associated with. It’s a deep part of the culture. This is fascinating.

I’m reading about oligarchy and tech dudes and the race for more money and I just…….what do they think it’s going to buy them? Bezos went to space. What else can someone like that possibly want? What good is that much money to a single individual?
