the food bank gave me this. who can tell me what it is and how I use it??? all it says in german is the ingredients and "ready to use" which is actually NOT HELPFUL

this whole "7 sick days" thing is so absolutely weird to me as a german. before I was on English language social media I just assumed that it was normal to have as many sick days as you need. when I got sick, I got some 600 paid sick days, and then got first unemployment and then disability pension. this is normal. 7 sick days! demand 365

I have not presented to mastodon yet the fact that my cat knows to ring a bell whenever she has an urgent need that I must fulfill! #MagicalMinka

I taught her to do it because her previous way of notifying me was pulling any paper out of my shelves and destroying it. this is much less destructive.

she used to ring for all kinds of things, but ever since she's chosen my roommate over me she only returns to my room to ring when she's hungry or to complain that my roommate's door is closed.

a few things you can do to make your content accessible:

- use image descriptions
- when you post videos, make sure they're captioned and/or add a transcript. transcript is really the only accessible option for deafblind folks
- when you link a podcast, do also link to the transcript
- don't put more than 2-3 emoji in your username (incredibly annoying for screenreader users)
- use CW's where appropriate. make sure they actually describe what the content is about!
