@MsMadLemon No worries - it looks like I might have misread your description (unless you edited). All good.
Sleepy Maddi might be more entertaining? Excellent self-censorship (or editing!) for the fun moments in the video.

@MsMadLemon This is your friendly poke to post about ep34 :)

Too many bozos for that that poor neglected health bar!

You could always find another block to 'checkerboard' the rare block (aged polished bauxute) with. Sill, what you have is nice :)

@MsMadLemon I stand in expectation in front of my ovens, watching them brown, waiting for them to be ready. And then the disappointment that they're not ready IRL.
I have an IRL timer for the time pies take to bake in VS, because I easily get distracted and forget, leading to overcooked pies/bread/etc. But overcooked food lasts longer!
#VintageStory I have a pie carpet in my cellar [screenshot].
It's late autumn.
- Goat is pregnant, after eating lots of fruit mash.
- One bighorn ewe, one bighorn lamb (sex unknown).
- I fenced in a boar - we have a sow, but it's badly-placed.
- I'm harvesting the last of the fruit, before it turns bad on the bushes.
- My late-planted grain crops look to just about make it to maturity. 4'C nights.
- There's now protected access to animal pens.
- I planted apple cuttings - they might take.
@MsMadLemon Interrupted by unexpected chicken!
The distraction factor is high here, with lots of pretty things to buy. Need to get those rusty gears by any means!
I'm glad you're progressing, and building out the house to do what you want. Do you have ideas in mind for the upper rooms? (I forget).
Also, maybe try glue in ruins, and see what you get ;)
@MsMadLemon Handkerchief!
Good to see you're investing in your base. Given the number of times you'll use a route or a part in your house, [I've found with games like this] it's worth taking time out to change layouts or put things in the right place.
I'm slowly progressing on mine, about to start steel, but it'll take a while. Then maybe try diving into lore things after I have a bit of armour...
@MsMadLemon Huge!
Good find on the 2-stack. They're useful [trying not to spoiler others before they watch your video]
And cutting it fine again in the caves ;-p
I've used glue to repair a few things, but won't say more than that. I'll let you discover more about them.
I've yet to find _really_ good ruins.
@MsMadLemon Yep, I'm, just about the same progress as you - ahead and behind on different things.
Like you, I find caves intense - locusts and others really burn through the poultices. Success seems to be knowing when tor retreat and recover.
I found lead/galena before, so my windows are leaded. While they look more advanced, they obscure the view a bit more, so maybe I'll go with sawn glass slabs?
I've yet to explore armour, and I want 'not dying' to be the balance to aspire to.
@MsMadLemon We watch your health bar so you don't have to (and shout "poultices!" at the screen while you dive deeper into the caves). That's good content.
I'm probably a bit behind you in terms of progression: at the stage of seeking more copper and starting on other metals and tanning. I've only done a little prospecting, and like you say, doing new stuff eventually becomes easier and almost intuitive.
Nice stove. I hope it didn't take TOO long? ;-p
"May you prosper" -- loading screen.
@MsMadLemon Well, that's unlikely: you're majoring on two of my current interests:
I'm rewriting my Amiga synth for 2025 web browsers (wrong platform I know, but it's a proof-of-concept).
Also, I started paying Vintage Story a couple of weeks ago.
