It doesn't matter whether or not a tiny majority of Americans agrees or disagrees with Donald Trump's deployment of marines in LA. It is against the law for marines to engage in law enforcement in the US. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 expressly forbids it. Their detention of an army veteran on the way to a VA centre was a crime. #trump #uspol

The Treaty Principles Bill would be very damaging if it was passed into law, but it won't be. On the other hand the Regulatory Standards Bill is likely pass while people are preoccupied with the Treaty, and it will be extremely damaging, legislating to prioritise corporate profits at the expense of society and our environment. Wake up, #Aotearoa. #nzpol
