@amayer @EugeneMcParland I cannot understand - HOW with all the economic power (and military technology) of France, Germany, UK, Nordics, with the manpower and determination of Poland, Czechia, Baltics - Europe is not able to stand against Russia.

There are probably many people in #France, #Netherlands, #Germany, #UK, #Spain, #Belgium, #Ireland, #Italy, #Switzerland who - when they happen to hear news about Ukraine’s fight for their right to exist - think: “Why should we care about what happens in Eastern Europe?”

Just learned that French used to have a phrase "Why die for Danzig?" (Pourquoi mourir pour Dantzig?) when Germany invaded Poland.

@NeonPurpleStar Yes, this platform being decentralised indeed makes it more challenging to find new friends. However, it also makes it more fun and less susceptible to being overtaken by 1 🤡 or a single groups of 🤡s (I guess an infamous example immediately springs to our minds here)
