Did y'all hear?
Another Insurance CEO was almost killed at his home.
Is it a policy to not post news about copycats? (Which is a common policy) Or is it that they don't want overwhelming public support for it again?
"The home of State Accident Insurance Fund Corporation (SAIF) CEO Chip Terhune in Lake Oswego, near Portland, was shot up in the early hours of Feb. 21, the Lake Oswego Police Department said Wednesday."
https://www.fox9.com/news/saif-chip-terhune-insurance-ceo-bullets-oregon.amp
In my opinion, it's not that they fear another CEO's death. CEOs are replaceable. It's that they don't want another anti-hero in the news.

Honestly, I want to bring back an infosec / hacker con in Indiana. There's two of them in geographically opposing parts of the state (Fort Wayne and Bloomington).
But what about Indianapolis?
But I'm not proud of Indiana, and would understand people not traveling here
But there's so many hackers and infosec professionals in this state. Is it wrong to be punitive towards them (us)?
I'm still not sure
Rest In Peace @CircleCityCon

Just a reminder my employer has nothing to do with my political, spiritual, or social viewpoints.
I do not represent their interest or ideologies.
They do not support what I say
I am my own human being, who needs a job to survive.

My father passed away suddenly in 2013.
Growing up, my father would scream at the TV against the Tea Party, demanding it would ruin America. That far right Christian fundamentalists would be our downfall.I'm not a big believer you must honor your parents.
But if I go to jail over standing up for what's right, for making change, for combating bigotry, at least I can tell the judge "My Dad said it was okay"
If you wanna honor Gilby, confront those in your life who are complacent and are ignoring what's happening. Help a family in need with dinner. Volunteer at your local organizations like libraries. Download critical data for offline storage to share when it's taken down. Call and email your representatives relentlessly (yes, it's working). Help out your neighbor.
This is not a red versus blue fight like they want. This is the corrupt versus the just, and you can find people on both sides.
And if I disappear, and you find me on Jail Tracker, just know, I'm here and I'm making my family proud.

It's crazy how many times I've said "This is literal Nazi* shit" over the past month.
But making abortion records publicly available information in Indiana is so fucking gross.

I'm particularly mad at Target for being a bunch of spineless twerps that never really cared about the LGBTQ+ community unless it was profitable.
Now that the tides have turned they've gone back on their own DEI policies. Target, who last year sold rainbows suits in the summer for pride, now doesn't believe in DEI.
What two-faced BS.

I've stuck around the Midwest mostly for cons like @CircleCityCon #Thotcon #GrrCon and Bsides mostly. I've spoken at #shmoocon and been to #defcon. But this week I went to #cactuscon and it was awesome!
Can ya recommend other cons to go to? I want to get out of my comfort zone, but I'd like to know where people are going. Bonus points if their CFP is still open ;)

Due to Mastodon's influence, I have switched from LastPass to Bitwarden, and Brave Browser to @Vivaldi
Somehow changing my daily browsing feels like a huge change, but I'd recommend both
