Hello quantum friends. My team want to hire someone to work on adding QEC support to our quantum compilation stack. The ideal person will know about fault tolerant quantum computing and be keen to learn about how modern compiler tools work. The other way around might work too. The job is based in Cambridge, UK.

    Please share!

Quantinuum - Research Software Engineer - Quantum Software
Quantinuum are hiring a research software engineer to work on compilation of fault-tolerant quantum software for the next generation of quantum computers. Quantum software relies on quantum error correction to work. However, quantum software engineers don’t want to think about error correction: they want the compiler do it for them. So we’re upgrading our TKET compiler do this, and we’re looking for help. As part of our Cambridge-based compiler team, you will contribute to our quantum compilation toolchain, with a focus on how implementing fault-tolerant protocols in the compiler. You’ll stay informed about the latest research on quantum error correction codes, fault-tolerant circuit design, and quantum compilation methods, as well as conducting original research of your own. You’ll work with scientists and engineers from all across Quantinuum to integrate all of our expertise into high-quality software for our team, and our customers. If you are excited by possibilities of quantum

@6d03 @julesh @MartinEscardo The aim is not win the grant. The aim is satisfy your dean that you tried to get one. A much lower bar.

@julesh @MartinEscardo Maybe just automate the whole thing and spend your time doing research instead of writing grant applications. (Assuming some external force compels you to submit them in the first place). #donthatetheplayerhatethegame #internalcontradictionsofcapitalaccumaultion

Looks like my brief affair with LinkedIn is over. They signed me out and require me to upload a photo of my passport to some company I never heard of to get back in. Sad I won't be able to update the profile back to its inactive state 🤷
