as much as i love linux it kinda feels like the most boring thing you could possibly start a conversation about. like i do this time and time again where i will engage in the most banal small talk about linux just because its common ground. maybe im doing something wrong but i cannot maintain conversation past "whats your favourite distro"
like id much rather talk about technologies effects on society and culture more broadly, and peoples individual choices when navigating this. but so often linux users are just as normie as any other OS user when it comes to how they engage with technologies like social media -

@nyx like what do u mean you're not painfully aware of your habits of use? you don't treat your interaction with social media like an addiction that needs to be mitigated and controlled?? you don't look for alternatives because 'big tech' is slowly killing you?
