The fact your average MBA can be replaced by an untested and unvetted tool which gets it wrong up to 60% of the time should really be a sign that modern corporate management is a farce.

@scarlet yeah, the scaremongering is honestly doing as much harm as the administration.
We should be holding ourselves up (and politicians, executives, and capitalists accountable) and defying this kind of shit, not spreading it ourselves.

Since search engines are literally useless nowadays, are there *any* EU countries which are favorable to bringing people in as artists, authors, musicians, or similar?
I'd love to make a living off of my literary works abroad (and maybe work part-time in the meanwhile), but finding information on the feasibility of that is proving a challenge.

@codl don't forget a total lack of rent control, so each time you do, you have to allocate an increasing amount of memory to do it (which also goes up every so many CPU cycles, since, y'know, capitalism)

If all the money that is currently being wasted on "AI" were redirected to public works in the US alone -- a total of $100,000,000,000 in 2024 alone -- we could have:
- Medicare for All, ensuring every US citizen with federally-subsidized healthcare;
- Significant improvements to public transit in urban areas;
- Major investments into renewable energy (solar, wind, etc) while decommissioning petrol and coal plants and drastically reducing commercial power consumption;
- Sweeping reform for environmental protections and fewer datacenters competing for land (which invariably drive up the cost of housing in low-income areas);
- Innovations focused on actually benefiting people, rather than an exploitation of the arts... and still have money left over.
