i think enshittification as defined by doctorow, meaning "they made the product worse than it used to be, for profit reasons", is a useful word. but my problem is that people are now using it to mean "it's worse now" with no further qualification and i find that really annoying. the enshittification of my back pain over the years

the pipeline of "this accessibility feature is cool because i, a person who doesn't have the disability that this mitigates, can use it in this specific way" into "im putting in a thing that people without that disability can use in this specific way. it doesn't work for people who do have the disability"
