Wow, so much drama....

So this guy Alex Gleason (former chief engineer of Truth Social, Trump's social network) has been replicating our profiles from the fediverse, by scrapping data without permission /consent and posting it under profiles hosted in his website. Super creepy. (And by the way, if you or your admin have not blocked mostr.pub, you should do so).

People, rightly so, got angry.

Eventually someone figured out the stolen profiles are hosted by cloud fare, and sent complains of abuse.

Now this Alex guy is getting really upset and asking Mastodon's Gargron to "get his people under control".

I have so many thoughts, ranging from amusement to laughter to anger.

@killyourfm people are being mostly negative, but I wanted to let you know I did exactly this! I didn't want to throw away a functional computer, I saw someone here recommending Linux mint, so I installed that instead.

It has some glitches I don't know how to solve (and I don't have enough time or motivation to tackle it). But for the most part is working quite well. Except for the occasional glitch, I don't even notice the difference.

Hello!  I'm Mar.

I moved to this instance a few weeks ago after a year on neurodifferent.me. It's time to update my introduction!

Here is where I'm supposed to tell you who am I. But .. I don't know? It's complicated! I'm trying to figure it out.For now, I can tell you:

I love seeing how things connect. 

Nature is an essential part of who I am, and I experience it mostly through gardening and hiking, in urban and semi-urban parks. I used to observe nature as a job (as a scientist). But I couldn't fit in academia, which still causes some grief.

Two years or so ago, I found out about neurodivergence. Reading and listening to the accounts of autistic people sharing their experience filled me with an overwhelming feeling of peace and kinship. This lead to a path of self-discovery. By now I'm certain to be autistic, and most likely AuDHD.

I'm also a mom, part-time homeschooling my AuDHD kid.

I'm also an immigrant.

I used to love music. Yet, my trauma response made it almost impossible to listen to it for a decade or so. My current therapy is helping with that, so I may post more music as time goes. I'll write occasionally about this change.
