And yes, many places have already pulled the current COVID vaccine so YMMV, and best to check pharmacies in your local area on how they are implementing policies (it’s a mess).

From Your Local Epidemiologist: “If you’re under 65 and not high risk, the window to get a Covid-19 vaccine is right now—before the FDA label changes (possibly this Friday). Once it happens, access will be limited immediately.”

Note: COVID hasn’t changed that much recently, so while they will be updating the vaccine in fall to match the latest variants, the current “old” vaccine should still provide good protection (and better than no vaccine if access is restricted).

Ridiculous that we have to keep repeating this in 2025, but:

✅ Vaccines save lives

✅ Flouride prevents cavities

✅ Sunscreen prevents skin cancer

In case you understandably can't decipher the CDC's calming COVID wastewater map, yes, we are in another surge.

Are the mRNA vaccines incredible? YES!

Can we make the mRNA vaccines even better? YES!

Can we use mRNA vaccine technology to prevent and treat many other diseases? YES!

It will always be ridiculous how the CDC deliberately chose to color a map that's meant to represent how much COVID is spreading in calming shades of green and blue.

Why are some people still spreading misinformation that "masks only work when everyone wears one," and use it as a personal excuse not to mask as "no-one else is."

It isn't all or nothing. While it's safer when more people mask because there's less virus in the air, a well-fitting mask protects you even if no-one else masks.

Antivaxxers love falsely accusing scientists of censorship but in reality they are the ones trying censor science.

RFK Jr just tried bullying a scientific journal into retracting a major study of 1.2  million kids that found that aluminum in vaccines do not increase the risk of autism or asthma. The journal refused.

This is so ridiculously corrupt. One of the main reasons for mistrust by some parts of the public is that anti-science figures like Jay and RFK have been consistently spreading lies about vaccines.

This is what the audience for a Long COVID conference looked like today. Notice anything? 😷

From 2020 to 2022 COVID vaccines prevented over 18.5 million hospitalizations, 3.2 million deaths and saved the US $1.15 trillion.

mRNA vaccines and treatments are being developed for diabetes, HIV, cancer, and more. Imagine how many more lives we could save if we don't defund science.

Remember when we all used to clap every night to thank doctors, nurses, scientists, and public health workers for saving lives?

Thanks to disinformation, people in these professions are now frequently threatened and attacked. There is no way society can keep functioning like this.

mRNA vaccines can be modified and produced cheaply and quickly. This doesn't only help us respond to pandemics better, it enables researchers to rapidly test different treatment strategies for many diseases such as cancer. Cutting mRNA funding slows all of health research and makes us all sicker.

No, it's not only the US who will suffer from RFK Jr cancelling vaccine research.

1️⃣ You can't just instantly teleport research. Cancelling US projects slows global progress.

2️⃣ Viruses spread across borders so preventing pandemics will always be a group project. The US is letting the team down and putting the world at risk.

mRNA vaccines are one of the most important tools we have for preventing future catastrophic pandemics because we can update them more quickly than any other vaccine technology in response to new emerging viruses and variants.

RFK Jr cancelling millions in mRNA research makes the world far less safe.

This is so harmful. Scientists are developing mRNA-based cancer vaccines that could save so many lives.
