X's legal filing in the InfoWars bankruptcy case is both batshit crazy and also what you'd expect. It asserts that X owns every account, can do whatever it wants with them, and can inject itself into legal proceedings that have nothing to do with it.

This is why it's incredibly important that people invest in platforms that they own, and move toward federated/decentralized/portable, noncorporate social media as rapidly as possible

The journey of 1,000 miles begins with a couple hours of twiddling your ~/.emacs until you decide you don't like it and revert everything.

Needed to dump an old SCSI disk. The only thing I have with SCSI is a beige G3 PowerMac. Had to re-jumper the drives and putz around with ID bits.

It already had a disk dual-booting OS 9 and OS X. That one made some bad clicking noises...went away after a few reboot cycles. Phew.

At least it already had OS X. Now dd-ing the target disk out through SSH at 600 kbps. Had to use a second laptop because all my 1+ meter Ethernet cables are being used. Didn't think about that until it was too late.

I've ashamedly never dumped.

One from a childhood PC is called a Quantum Bigfoot TX -- it's 5.25"
wide and half-height...kind of unique and I never saw another like it (although I have another 5.25" HDD in my IBM 5155).

Dumped it, and Windows 98 started right up to my old desktop. :)
