2. Cursed Under London by Gabby Hutchinson Crouch Set in Elizabethan times, but with a whole society of the undead and other magical creatures living alongside regular humans. Our two protagonists and their ragtag band of magical misfits are on a quest to find out who cursed them, but things quickly get more complicated. Breezy, funny, surprisingly dark towards the end, and with an m/m grumpy/sunshine couple that don't end up together, yet. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/205462308#2025Reads
I love posting about #Books on here, and I promise that thread of faves from 2024 is coming, but I figured I'd start one for 2025 too, which I'll update as I go. I'm also on Goodreads, so feel free to follow me there: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1568820 And now, #2025Reads
200 years ago, a #Blind French teenager took six little dots and opened up the world of literacy for himself and generations to come. Merci Louis. Without the code that bears your name, I wouldn't have gotten through school or found success at work. I definitely wouldn't love to read as much as I do. #Braille is independence, dignity, resourcefulness, pride. #Braille is beautiful!! Happy #WorldBrailleDay
@Fragglemuppet Your shoes are different colors. Yes, this has happened to me. Moral of the story: don't buy the same style of boot in both black and brown.
Today I learned Christian EDM is a thing. It's basically regular worship songs over a DJ beat with various electronic effects, and it's as excruciating as it sounds. Had to endure 45 straight minutes of it on my ride home. Will never complain about drivers blasting country or metal on the bus again. Hell, even the Christian pop on KLOVE would've been better than that remixed crap.
