Hard to recommend #Pixelfed if I have to resize my images before uploading. Why can't the service do this itself at the point of upload, like just about every other image posting platform?

I've finally got en-dashes working 'correctly' (in the Mac style of alt+dash keys) thanks to AutoHotKey, so that's good. Now it's just a matter of refamiliarising myself with the keyboard layout differences (I'd rather not just remap the keys). So far... I think I like it?
I've heard all the complaints and I'm sure I'll run into more than a few, but so far, it's good. The hardware itself is less powerful than my M1 Max MBP14, so that'll be the main concern, but we'll see how I go!
I'm mainly doing this because I prefer Android over iOS, and I hate how little interoperability there is between MacOS and Android (thanks Apple...), but there's plenty between Windows and Android. So, we'll see!
