Sometimes you’re just riding along and there’s a huge turkey on the path! He was beautiful, and quite large. He was not thrilled with us, we got a tail flare and a gobble as we went past. Would have loved a closer shot, but figured we should just roll on past!

Fire alarm “annunciator” panel at the front entrance of the former Central Life Assurance Company building, Des Moines Iowa. Taken in 2020.

Building was constructed in 1954, so I would guess this panel is original. The site was in the midst of being gutted for a remodel when this was taken. I’ve not been back since to see if the panel is still there.
