@aral I saw footage yesterday, or the day before, of them bombing already bombed out buildings where aid workers were trying to rescue civilians trapped under the rubble.
@aral Euch, yes. I can't quite belief anyone even asks her opinion about anything any more, they're so irrelevant. You're welcome. It felt like a very important interview to watch, because he was more excoriating than I think I've ever seen on a Western broadcast. It's been submitted to the genocide archive, of course, so it won't disappear entirely.
@aral Slightly off topic again (soz) but you should watch the Sky interview with Professor Morandi of Tehran University I just posted - real-time "shit he said the truth we can't broadcast that" western propaganda move.
"A large number of women and children have been killed. That's not something you've been pointing out over the last 10 minutes of pro-Israeli propaganda. In the west, when they support a holocaust in Gaza, the genocidal strikes in Beirut, the daily murders in the West Bank, there's not going to be much support for the women and children lying dead on the streets of Tehran."
This interview was pulled from Sky News immediately after it ended this morning.
So anyway, this clip I posted earlier has now been edited by Sky News and the moment (1:22) where Greta says Israel is committing genocide has been deleted.
Francesca Albanese has just shared this letter from 10 Holocaust survivors, published last year in the Independent. It was the only corporate newspaper in the world to print it.
"With no better arguments, our politicians have resorted to misusing the memory of the Holocaust while claiming that protesting against Israeli genocide is somehow antisemitic."
Contrary to what I've seen reported (and I've not checked everywhere) only *four* of the twelve crew are being repatriated. According to La France Insoumise, Rima Hassan and her five French colleagues, plus two others, are being transferred to Givon prison in Ramla, having refused to sign a document saying they entered Israel illegally, which was a condition of their being released. Givon prison is notorious for human rights violations.
Please remember that they were arrested in international waters. They only entered Israel proper when they were in the custody of the Israeli navy. Israel has repeatedly claimed it is not "occupying" Gaza. It therefore does not control Gaza's territorial waters, according to the UN.
Other conditions imposed in the document include agreeing not to enter Israel for 100 years.
