@cstross I'm uncertain what will happen. Previous tech bubbles popped with serious but predictable results. But this time around, tech has ALREADY been doing the layoffs. My friends and students all tell me of a market as bad or worse than after the dot com bubble or Great Recession, but there is still so much money chasing AI. When that tap is turned off, I'm not sure what they'll cut. (One could hope to cut the climate destroying data centers, but I'm sure they'll try to keep some)

@shaterri My vote fell with the overwhelming majority, which forces me to wonder which shirt I am more likely to wear and what that says about my trustworthiness.
