A dev build of GIMP 3 hasn't crashed on me in the making of it. The DPI scaling seems a bit jank and pushing a 4k display with it even with basic edits makes my ThinkPad struggle a bit.

@thomasfuchs Not in the right region to check, but I wonder what it would do for a suffix of -ussy. I assume it would be the funniest brainrot moment imaginable.
