I can't believe the heft of this piece of equipment. It feels pretty nice.

I should have enough responses as is, and I wasn't particularly excited about getting into game-dev anyway...

@hj yeah somewhere along the process perhaps, but as the first thing they required you to do without any previous talking?

I've gotten a few initial responses from other just dev positions and that seems highly unusual to me.

Is this typical for applications to game-dev positions?

The first response after my application is them giving me an assignment over two weeks, to program a specified small game from scratch with a number of required features.
