Is is a country with high "diversity" or low "diversity"?
If it is high diversity, are there many knife crimes instead so that the homicide rate is about the same as in a country with guns?

How can it be the guns? Such incidents did not occur in earlier times when guns could be even purchased via mail from a catalog.
It is not the guns. It is mental health, and intention in case of deliberate criminal activity. But in that case no gun control will ever help, since criminals do not care about laws anyway.
