@evan yeah, didn't mean to trivialise what you asked. Just that I think it does make sense in some cases. There might be a different network where it also makes sense that I didn't mention in this example. 🤷♂️

@evan I actually think it depends on the network. On most social media, like Mastodon, blue sky and Threads, I'd say no. On LinkedIn I think it makes some sense to see it.

@BeAware I've been using Mastodon for a couple of years by now, I reckon, and still feel that following hashtags are a bit lackluster. Perhaps I'm following too few and or using the app wrong? I'm mostly checking my feed on my android phone.

My biggest #gripe with #Mastodon is reach and the ability to discover stuff outside of chronological scrolling. Lists in #BlueSky make that better. Imho the algorithms in #Threads are too intrusive.
If there were simpler ways to connect with different topics on here it would make it excellent, to me at least. I guess it might come down to why you use different social media.
