@dcc Using account will just nuke invidious since you agree to the terms or service of google + they will ban the accounts because of the huge traffic. My "fix" is just a try hard workaround and not the best way to do it. yewtu.be is already testing the new proper fix privately.
Single man kills YouTube by sucking their traffic and ISP doesn't even bother with him. No one can stop him for sucking YouTube traffic and leave them dry.
I love Chile internet freedom (and freedom in general)
I will add a slot of RAM to the server, it will be down for ~5 minutes. I didn't want to do this because the RAM slot that I have is a 4GB one, has a different latency and is from another manufacturer. Mixing RAMs with different properties is not good.
But the server is not able to handle all the traffic so I will do it anyways
- Rent a VPS to route all the traffic from the selfhosted server to the VPS. - Make use of NGINX Openresty lua whatever the fuck it is for error messages - Pay bills please donate I'm dying all the 60% of my poor money goes to the internet bill
Oh, and if someone is wondering. The cost of the router was 17.50USD. I bought a more modern one for the solely purpose of handling the traffic that Invidious creates.
oh well. Seems like my internet is down and that is totally not my fault. Thanks to today's extreme rain, the internet went down there is nothing I can do lol. There is no ETA sadly.
Hello. Seems like my Router doesn't like me anymore and it crashes almost every time now for unknown reasons (I don't even get a NAT IP address anymore). Because of this, self-hosted services (invidious, 4get, rimgo) are unavailable for now and probably two more days because I need to talk with my ISP about this so they can change this shit router for a better one if possible.
Now that YouTube has banned my account (because of false copyright claims on a personal project) I do not use any google services and I degoogled my life completely lol.
