Scientists have carried out tests to see if it is safe to fly with a Tunnock’s Teacake, 60 years after they were banned by the RAF.

The ban was put in place when a packet of teacakes exploded during a flight in 1965, leaving the pilot, controls and windows covered in marshmallow and chocolate.

Fuming. I donated a small one off donation to a charity who promptly started sending me physical mail! I asked to be removed from their mailing list - got no response, and today got a Christmas card from them! A horrible corporate card that no one would display, sent at great expense and arrived after Christmas - what a huge waste of money. I have emailed them again. sigh

My local library gives me free access to an app to read newspapers and magazines and boy is it nicer than using the newspapers Web apps! The adverts are just static normal adverts, they don't block text, there's no sound or moving images, it's a dream.

Plus I get newspapers from all over the world and a whole load of expensive magazines for free!
