@pinskia @adam_chal this is an astonishing good and helpful insight, thank you!
(Edit thought about it more and I think you're probably right!)

Original post:
Anyone with an M1,M2,M3 CPU running a **Linux**, could you be my hero and run the following rust code and reply with what it ran as?
https://github.com/adamchalmers/fp-repro
@adam_chal found that there was a difference in the returned values on his mac and intel
So far, my boxes have returned -3.4047613719613308; but on an M* Mac, it's -3.40476137196133
Just hit publish on a post I've been thinking about writing for years. I know I've had this running through my head for a while now, feels good to write it down. It's about "Complexity"
@silverwizard not even to mention ipv6 only networks, or boxes dual homed where the route to the gitea instance is on an interface that's not the default route
@silverwizard *udp* port *80* (not a thing on 8.8.8.8) to get what I assume they intend to be the IP for the interface with the default route on it - this code doesnt even need a return packet, just the local addr
This is some ..... creative ..... engineering https://gitea.com/gitea/act/src/commit/f6a8a0e643d69711a678b88f60cc037c71dd540a/pkg/common/outbound_ip.go
@mattl I've had both the reMarkable 1 and reMarkable 2 since launch (respectively). I use it a *lot*.
Pros: The writing feels better than any other tablet / eReader. I use it to consume PDFs and sketch out / work through problems.
Cons: DRM encumbered ebooks can't be read; you have to strip DRM before uploading them to the reMarkable. CLI tool used to be top notch, but the new API is a bit flaky recently.
