@BeAware Seems baited, they had what, a year???? And acted like it was perfectly fine, no infringements. What they wanted to let them make a lot of money to sue for?
@BeAware You are welcome, from past experience, use a broswer with extensions off and be ready to go with payment information already verified and be logged in before time. If someone manages to get the actual page ahead, load it so you can try to just refresh without running thru the whole website.
@BeAware Yep, cost 2-4 times that (depending on brand and how much of a powerhouse it is) to do an equivalent or better. I believe someone did a video to match series x and the ps5 and it was 1200-1400 or more (it's been a while). But you could easily drop 2-3k to get a really nice play everything near max for years one.
@BeAware@joeo10 For you it might be well worth it if you got 100-200 extra. If you are new to it why not? Though the slim might get a holiday deal in a couple of months and will run the same games. They do have a lot of fun exclusives.
@BeAware@joeo10 That said a 700ish pc likely would play most of the stuff out or coming out, but many would be at lower resolution or lower fps. The actual joke is the PS5 has barely hit it's limit if it actually has and had about a 2 year lag time getting go due to shortages. It's ridiculous to drop a pro right now when we had a couple of games that also weren't dropped for PS4 as well? Unless one had been waiting there is next to no reason to buy it.
@pixelworld_ai@BeAware Side note Google does this too and can be gamed similarly for youtube ads and promoted videos if you have history enabled and aren't ad blocking
@pixelworld_ai@BeAware Well for one they track everything under the sun and get data all over the web. So best guess they got repeated hits that your computer/phone using multiple sites that do have your real name as a confirmed field and used that. Or if you have one of their apps they might've just harvested it directly from the device. Contrary to what they claim, they do listen & browse things without permission. Wife & I made a game out of seeing how fast to pop a ad up on her phone.
@chuck@mosseri@BeAware Well, they know there is a fediverse full of people and access that will stay ad free…They don't want their products to know that as well.
