@BeAware correct. From most users perspective their instance may say whatever is a no no and defederate with instances that allow so you may not actually see it. But there's probably one at least out there that will talk about all kinds a whacked crazy stuff.

Step 2 cash in on competition stupidity and withhold ads at first to grow big userbase
Step 3 test partial federation but make it inconvenient so people will no jump out of the boiling pot.
Step 4 Test AI profiles
Step 5 Test ads
Step 6 begin rolling out ads so your users get used to it thinking there is no where better to go (see 3)
Step 7 Quietly increase federation
Step 8 AI profiles post fake ads to all Fedi
Step 9 PROFIT
