Today's word: Tsundoku. The act of acquiring books and letting them pile up unread. Originated in late 19th century Japan, combining "tsumu" (to pile up) and "doku" (to read). The term was created to describe the behavior of buying books and leaving them unread in one's home (just while we're getting round to it, of course.)

After a recent conversation with a teacher friend, I ran the first part of Genesis (the Bible) through 4 AI detectors. 3 were certain it was 92% to 100% written by AI, including by a detector I saw rated as the most accurate in an article. That could explain some things, but I think the lesson is one about being careful with AI detectors. Just a thought for the day.
