This is one of the problematic outcomes of enshitification: I can no longer pay money for services that I want, because I know that someday they'll change the service in a way that harms me.

@inthehands There's something similar with video games. Demanding to install anti-cheat software that scans your harddrive and kills processes it doesn't like.

If your company has a requirement for senior engineers to mentor juniors before they're able to get a promotion, then there's probably a swarm of seniors swimming around the juniors like sharks, until they can pounce and inflict their "mentoring" on those poor souls.
