I found them because I was lookup up “docker hosting” assuming it would be cheaper than paying for an entire Linux kernel for myself. Your dockers run side by side with the other customers’ dockers, and the container environment measures and makes sure you have enough dedicated memory that you paid for, plus enough CPU cycles for however much vCPU you are supposed to get

getting enthusiasm from existing fedi servers to migrate their communities to d3v1qntNet would be difficult… unless the d3v1qnt server was made to be backwards compatible with existing #mastodon and #misskey client apps and the #soapbox web client

My shitpost last night said that a 1st Am platform isn’t that valuable or important. but I was wrong. This bullshit is exhausting.

If I built a fedi platform from scratch I would want each individual public post, everything that has a URL, to also have a #BitTorrent #magnet #link. And everywhere in code a URL is rendered (for example a timeline containing a list of posts) each magnet link would be presented along with the URL.

That way each user is confident their contributions can’t be deleted by a server admin and will be visible even if a server goes offline, temporarily or permanently.
