@adam What are you planning to cover in your P2.0 talk at Podcast Movement? I'd like to ensure our two talks can complement each other.
Mine is only a 20-minute "expert talk," so I plan to focus more on the "why" of Podcasting 2.0 than the "how."
I'm disappointed with #podcast-hosting providers right now. Some are still missing important #Podcasting2.0 features. Some have missing or incorrectly implemented standard features. Some have more features but bad UI/UX.
It looks like I'll stick with PowerPress for now, but with custom coding. 😓
@tchambers "Article Line Stream" just happens to be the name of my band!
Unfortunately, my band doesn't have an available live stream, and I don't think Podcast Movement will, either.
But it will be available in the virtual ticket and I always record my own presentations.
New Podcasting 2.0 guide available: "How to use the funding tag," by @james

I'm thrilled to share that I'll be speaking at Podcast Movement this year!
"What You Need to Know about Podcasting 2.0"
I hope to see you there!
I've had my #podcasts' #RSS feeds with Blubrry PowerPress since I started #podcasting. But I'm considering moving The Audacity to Podcast's feed to a #podcast-hosting provider to fully optimize the in-app data beyond what PowerPress lets me do.
This might be my biggest tech change since starting!
The Audacity to Podcast will be 15 years old next week! I invite you to celebrate this #podcasting milestone with me in my next episode as I share 15 _regrets_ from these last 15 years.
I hope that my regrets will inspire you to not make the same mistakes, so your 15 years will be even better!
I would love for any of you to write some "convincing" articles for Podcasting2.org. Give really compelling answers to "Why?" target to specific audiences.
For example, why should podcast-app devs build in support? Why should hosting providers add something if "no one" is asking? Why should advertisers _not_ be afraid but excited?
We could make a new section of Podcasting2.org—maybe "Philosophy" or even just "Convince Me."
Here's a preview of the new podcast-chart-ranking feature coming _very_ soon to Podgagement! This will be great for every podcaster abandoned by Chartable's closure!
How to Revive Your Dormant Podcast:
Yes, I revived my dormant #podcast about #podcasting to teach how to revive a dormant podcast! I enjoy meta things. :😎
The new https://podcasting2.org site is now live!
Its pages are mostly powered by Markdown (except for the special Apps and Publishing Tools pages). And "edit" links on each page _should_ take you straight to the appropriate GitHub repo to edit that page (with a couple of buggy excepts, and waiting for @dave to merge a PR).
Adding a new guide is as simple as creating a .mdx file in "/content/guides" and naming it with a URL-friendly name.
Namespace docs pulled from official repo.
Thanks to @james for expanding the guide on using transcripts on the new Podcasting 2.0 website!

I'm thrilled the new Markdown format made it so easy!
As promised, there will be a new episode of The Audacity to Podcast tomorrow morning!

🎉 Fire up your #podcast app make sure you have The Audacity to Podcast added because I'll have an all-new episode for you next week! 🎉

(Also, June 17 is The Audacity to Podcast's 15th anniversary, and I thought you should know that I like yellow cake with Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker vanilla frosting—just in case you need that information.) 😉
I almost have the new Podcasting2.org site finished!
It will pull the namespace docs directly from Github, and all the content of the site will be powered by Markdown documents, so it will be _really_ easy to correct or contribute!
It's also built on Next.js, so it will be easy to keep building more advanced things onto it.
@Todd_Blubrry @dave I'll get Podcasting2.org updated, too. It'd be really nice if we could have the spec in a machine-readable format. I actually made some JSON like that for the site, but I'm not sure it's up-to-date anymore.
@adam @dave Here's that episode I did with @samsethi about what we could do with ActivityStreams in podcasting: https://www.futureofpodcasting.net/what-activity-streams-could-enable-in-podcasting/
I'm looking forward to recording The Future of Podcasting with @samsethi tonight! We'll be talking about the potential of ActivityStreams, both in Podcasting 2.0 and beyond.
Our episode will publish next Wednesday on https://FutureofPodcasting.net and in your favorite podcast app.
