Into April, JN.1 family has diversified sufficiently for designation of twelve pango aliases: KP through LC (excl. KT); & six recombinants: XDD, XDK, XDN, XDP, XDR & XDV.

Words act in the world. They do work. Never merely word-thoughts nor despairingly inadequate translations of wordless thoughts.

Words are infrastructure of social body that stands outside us, skeleton calcified through collective usage. To speak words is to exercise ligaments & tendons that exist outside our intentions.

Posture is habit. Fallen into without meaning to. Repetitive strain injuries are postural habits as injury. Words, always, are muscle twitches of a body that is not ours alone.

Two narratives:

The first, that part of coming to live with disability is coming to confront one's own ableism—instinct, that if abled folk only knew this, maybe they could start working on their ableism proactively.

The second, that first narrative is itself ableist, in upholding idea that ableism ought be a self-centered concern that "It may or will one day happen to you," rather than be a matter of justice—because people matter even if they ain't us.

Unfulfilled retrofuture promises, both.

#Compliancism is the moral framework that we, the virtuous, have done that which was required of us, as evidenced by the perks we enjoy; if you, the net unworthy, will not (this being inclusive of cannot) comply as we have, then at best, that's your reponsibility, at worst, your own damn fault.

Compliancism is necessary to enforce the dispossession that underwrites #EgoValue under the #FrosteanBargain. Those of #perquisitive #classposture righteously pay premiums and incur losses to sustain it.

Problem of bottom-line arguments for ethical behavior is not that they reduce care to money—which of course they do—but that such arguments, and ethical critiques of same, look to capitalist realism to articulate a problem of rentier #compliancism.

Do public good because more profit is a variation on do public good because less cost. Both concede ground that is money, not morals, that motivate.

Yet compliancism is a judgment of net worthiness—a measure of #EgoValue, rather than exchange-value.
