Problem of bottom-line arguments for ethical behavior is not that they reduce care to money—which of course they do—but that such arguments, and ethical critiques of same, look to capitalist realism to articulate a problem of rentier #compliancism.
Do public good because more profit is a variation on do public good because less cost. Both concede ground that is money, not morals, that motivate.
Yet compliancism is a judgment of net worthiness—a measure of #EgoValue, rather than exchange-value.
