@phiofx Just this morning I was thinking about this! Not activity pub, but how the "github homepage feed" is increasingly becoming people's (well, programmer's) window to the world. However, their feed algorithm is pretty basic currently (e.g. comment likes etc are not surfaced anywhere) and I was musing to myself what-ifs about how to make it more like, say a twitter/reddit alternative.

And activity pub would be a solution to this indeed! Hopefully gitlab's support triggers GitHub into following suit too. Building decentralized-yet-centralized feeds then would become possible. In my experience so far, GitHub has always seemed to care for the end-user (programmer) still, so they might follow suit, fingers crossed.

I keep thinking of ways to visualise scales, and this is the latest iteration of what I’ve come up with. I call it the notes “ladder”.

The intent is that the first visual glance should convey the most important thing about a scale - the intervals between the notes in it.

The webpage is interactive - you can hover/tap on the notes to hear how they sound in the context of the other notes in the scale. There's also a guitar tab form and a piano form.

The scale it uses is the Raag Bhairav. Raagas, from Indian classical music, are not really scales, they’re more akin to Markov chains, but thinking of them as a scale is an okay first approximation (there is also a page in there which explains all these theory details further)
