Thinking of licensing my side project as AGPLv3 just to make sure that, in case it gets any interest, that there is no option for a tech giant to make a fortune off a forked version of it without releasing the source.
Anyone have opinions about the AGPLv3 to share, without knowing much context about my project? It has a component that runs on the server, and I am not looking to turn it into a business (but maybe take donations for hosting costs).
Hosting a tiny instance on @mastohost continues to be an absolutely effort-free experience. I totally recommend them if you want your own instance but don't want to do server administration.
Turns out my home inspector failed to check for carbon monoxide alarms and we had *none* in our house. Now installed and tested. Thought of it thanks to this thread; might have saved our lives.
