It is a commonly held belief that ALL people are equal and have the right to live. This is actually NOT correct as the rich are also usually considered "people". I think we can easily fix this problem by recategorizing them as "food" 😋

It's so weird to me when people talk about being able to feel caffeine kicking in after having a strong coffee or an energy drink. I don't recall ever feeling *anything* from caffeine. At some point I'm gonna have to just chug a few energy drinks or eat some caffeine tablets just to figure out what people mean.

The opposite of "rise and shine" would be "collapse and absorb light" and personally I think I'd like to be encouraged to become a black hole.

Descartes' mind-body dualism has to be one of the worst things to happen to scientific thought in the last millennium. It's why we still have people thinking that mental health and physical health are separate or even that mental health can outright be dismissed since "it's just in your head"

Mental health IS physical health. The mind IS embodied. Trying to separate the two is not only unwarranted but also harmful.

I fucking hate this implication that #SexWork is not genuine or positive. The companies ruling over our lives keep getting more and more prude and the oppression of sex workers continues as usual..

@halley @yassie_j I think the porn industry is far too big to ever fall. But independent sex workers and adult content creators? Lewdness on social media? That kind of stuff is getting more and more difficult. It's a large part of why I use fedi and will protect it with my life.

I'm always so surprised at modern fast charging standards. I mean not too long ago it'd take the whole night to charge a phone to full and now it's like "Oh my phone is kinda low and I have to get going soon. I guess I'll plug it in for like 15 min" and then in that time it somehow charges by like 30% what on earth how

@pettter I absolutely agree. But it certainly doesn't help that some of the world's richest and most awful corporations also happen to own and control the most mainstream media platforms. And they intentionally make those platforms promote mindless entertainment and pointless outrage first and foremost.

@pettter Individual impact might not matter much but I don't think most people even think about these things. Most people I see in my day to day life happily go along with whatever corporations try to impose on us without giving it a second thought, going as far as to mock me for speaking out against it. The reason there's little political pressure is that most people simply don't care or are more than happy to take even the slightest conveniences.
