Kid606 at No Fun Fest would have been fun. The evolution of that fest and scene around it is still kind of undocumented but I guess it’s all still coming together. So many colors and styles there and adjacent but that adjacent covered a whole lot of ground.

Amen breaks and ragga samples being sliced and diced. It tells a nice little story if you let it. I hope there’s a classic jungle revival going down but I have no clue. I have seen an uptick in tracks like this so I guess I should start following a little closer.

@chris the only drawback of the Sphere is only music with the footprint of U2 or Phish will be had there. The venue itself has so much creative potential especially for fringier artists. It’s a shame it won’t be utilized, yet. Hopefully it’s not always this way.

@chris I can’t see why they couldn’t sell out a show or two. Fans would definitely travel for such a signature event.

Spent my day listening to Coachella whatever, Phish and now Pearl Jam. Started out youthful but ended all dad rock.

The Krautrock/Kosmische zone is easy for Phish to drop into in the Sphere. I’m not in any way complaining about this.

Phish jams over the Sphere run have been wildly exploratory but I’ve been amazed at how many times they stomp the epic landing portion just the same. Just so much focus they’ve maintained not that they really need to try. Visuals are great but I still tend to close my eyes.

Phish at the Sphere needs a VR component or a later Ultimate Phish @ The Sphere release!

This music gives me modern Afrika Bambaataa vibes. Slightly darker perhaps but we live in darker times I guess. Not always though..

GESAFFELSTEIN is a total Doctor Who alien. I saw his recent album cover but didn’t realize that he performs as the robot as well.

Unfortunately I missed Blur, damn.

Finally got to see No Doubt and yes it was fun. I’m glad Coachella streams the second week now. I’ve enjoyed all the randomness of it over the last few days. Marcel Dettmann’s set last night blew my mind, my wife not so much. Minimal techno is an acquired taste, I guess. :)

Marcel Dettmann + AME live via the Yuma stage at Coachella! MD is one of my favorite techno producers of the last ten or so years! AME I don’t know but I’m going to explore.

It split open and melted and I could see tectonic plates moving and shifting in my mind.
