I generally don't enjoy movies that are pure psychological horror because largely they are done incredibly poorly. However, last night, we watched IT'S WHAT'S INSIDE on Netflix and it's not exactly psychological horror, but it's also NOT not psychological horror?

It has a lot of really complex POV storytelling that I think was handled really well with visual cues. I liked it!

Mme Zabet (mmezabet@craftgoblin.club)'s status on Thursday, 10-Oct-2024 01:13:08 JST Mme Zabet We watched IDLE HANDS (1999) last night -- a rewatch for me that might as well have been a 1st watch since I only saw it 25 yrs ago.
I have to say that it has held up really well given when it was made. The trademark 2000s awfulness-as-humor is minimal (only one joke jumped out at me), so it's mostly just the usual "tits for no reason" and "let's keep our 18yo female lead nearly naked," which is still baked in to a lot of horror now.
Would mostly recommend!
