It's not the smart part that is the problem it's the cloud part that is the problem. You should not need to login to the cloud to control a device that is 2 meters away from you. That is stupid.

You can do them all in #freecad!
I personally don't like the "OpenScad" programming option, I like to see what I am doing. And nodes are very useful but more for a CAD file you re-use a lot.
