@eaton is "APTs” an acronym I'm not familiar with, or an abbreviation for “appointments”?

Work meeting today had to discuss some risks about the incoming administration. We were figuring out how much we push forward with what should be done versus holding back to mitigate potential blowback. I drew a line I expect to repeat in the coming years:

We don't do the fascists' work for them.

We pursue our goals, rendering public service per our charter. If they complain or order or decree otherwise, we deal with that when it comes. But we don’t self-censor.

@cam yes; the hay penny (half penny) used to exist in the US but was phased out long ago. When it did it had more buying power than the dime does today.

@cam yes, but fintech uses fractional pennies already; no need for them to stop just because there’s not a physical coin to match the number in the database.

Worse: it actually costs more than 1¢ to make a penny!
