@mrman You're right ....the interest payments on the debt are now more than the defense budget, over $1 trillion.

@mrman It's freaking' scary....and only a few in the "Crystal City" give a damn abput it.

@mrman Well I'm no math genius, but if the pyramids were built about 4600 years ago X 365 days X $500,000 that equals approximately $840 billion.

So, I guess that would be about right. It might be a conservative count. We hit $33 trillion on the national debt on Oct. 18, and were due to hit $34 trillion in a few days. The "law of large numbers" is a bitch.

Just watched the episode of LFDH with Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke. I really enjoyed it. My favorite episode is the one with Joe Walsh from about 10 or 11 years back. Joe's lead guitar over Hall's song, "Somebody Like You" is incredible. Check it out:
