@hellomiakoda yeah that was one of my favorite automations. I also have it save the previous state, so that it returns to what it was. And since I have other automations that turn them on and off, those automations change the stored state instead of the actual state if the windows or doors are open.

@hellomiakoda basically, content for autistic people. Nothing wrong with that, mind you. But allos wouldn't be interested, because that other stuff is needed to catch their attention. It just highlights one of the key differences.

@hellomiakoda people often confuse the inability to pick up signals with a lack of empathy. Being unable to see the signals can *look* like a lack of empathy, but it's something entirely different.
Being red/green colorblind doesn't mean you don't want to stop at an intersection where you're supposed to.

@hellomiakoda the exploding gas tank is one of those Hollywood tropes I really wish they'd stop doing. It's exciting, but about as realistic as an ice cube exploding like a grenade.

@hellomiakoda @Unlikelylass it's a market share thing. 🤷 You run with the herd or you go your own way. There ain't no perfect path. FWIW, I am frustrated by it, too. But you already know the world we live in is very frustrating. This just goes on the list.

@hellomiakoda @Unlikelylass Linux was built specifically for x86, so yeah you'd expect it to work better on that platform. Trying to port it over to ARM isn't a trivial task.
And considering how after all these years there are *still* driver issues with x86 Linux (yes, it's better, but still not anywhere near as comprehensive as Windows), it should hardly come as a surprise that driver coverage for ARM is really weak.

@hellomiakoda @session the short answer: if you have limited resources, you devote them to the largest user base you can. Linux Mobile has such a small user base it's basically a rounding error.
I understand why you choose to use Linux Mobile, but when you're metaphorically traveling in the middle of nowhere instead of on the freeway, you shouldn't be surprised to have very limited cell service.

@hellomiakoda @TimWardCam I went through this. And it turns out my neighbors have EERO devices, which charge you an annual fee if you want to set your channel. I kid you not. 🤬
2.4 is very crowded around here. But I've managed to get things working just well enough.

@hellomiakoda oh yes, I'm well aware. It's nasty stuff to work with.
If you need to get new stuff I'd suggest mineral wool if you are ok to take on the extra cost. It's more effective than fiberglass, but also more expensive.

@hellomiakoda if your ceiling is getting that hot, the Mylar bubble sheets will still do a decent amount. It won't do as much for the winter, but it'll handle more than you'd expect from that solar radiation

@hellomiakoda one idea would be to add reflective foil bubble insulation panels to the "ceiling" (which I assume is the roof), with the reflective side pointing to the roof. Most of what's causing you trouble is radiant heat. This stuff could be attached with Command strips so you're not altering the structure.
You'll want to do this really soon, since you're about to go through a pretty intense heat wave.
