A reminder this #GivingTuesday that indie #bookstores need support. Help not only by buying books from them, but also by donating to Binc Foundation. This helps bookstore & comic shop employees & owners with unforeseen emergency financial, medical, & mental health service needs. https://bincfoundation.org/
In 2025, I'm going to dip back into book events. I have had a lot of personal disruptions in the past few years, deaths in the family, moves, etc. and it's time I got out there. Are there any in the US or Canada that anyone loves the most? I've done SDCC a few times so I already know about that one. I write fantasy, horror, thrillers ,and science fiction. Thank you!
Saturday morning coffee >>>>>>>>> all other coffee. USUALLY. But Saturday morning coffee two days after Thanksgiving with pie >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all other coffee and in fact most things in the world.
Listening to John Coltrane Quartet on vinyl. Outside, a moody, darkening sky slides toward the blues of twilight. There's a scent of piñon logs burning somewhere close by. This is a perfect late autumn evening.
If you'd like to follow more of my work, there are two options: a behind-the-scenes, chatty Patreon (there is a free option as well as tiers!): https://www.patreon.com/c/jendiagammon
Hey! If you'd like to read more of my ramblings about writing and art and life, I have a Patreon. And it DOES have a free option, because I'm not one of those people who only gives access if you pay. There are some cool perks if you do decide to invest, though! https://www.patreon.com/c/jendiagammon
I have *one more* book deal to announce very soon, a standalone unrelated to those I've talked about. Not sure when that gets announced, but it'll be a trippy read.
Made my revisions for my donated short story, "The Dewdrop Bot and the Honey Fae," for the WNC Charity Anthology titled From Appalachia With Love: Sci-Fi Anthology. I really enjoyed writing this magical realism sci-fi and fantasy tale set high in the Blue Ridge, where a woman and her bot searching for honey encounter someone they didn't expect. Donate and help WNC recover from Hurricane Helene to receive your copy of the anthology: https://www.ncindieauthors.com/wnc-charity-anthology

Just got the nicest note from a friend who reminded me that, a couple of years ago, I was about to throw in the towel on the writing, but instead, I am taking charge. That kind of reminder really put things into perspective for me. Sometimes you DO have to write the narrative.
