Far-right prejudice now ‘normalised’ across Europe, warns EU anti-racism chief – Racism across Europe is not only about speeches by extremists or headline-grabbing scandals – but also what is repeated and normalised in political discourse and down into everyday life, warns Michaela Moua, the European Commission’s anti-racism coordinator.
Breaking news. The Dutch court just sentenced the human trafficker Welid to 20 years in prison for crimes commited against the migrants and refugees in Libya. I can't be prouder of myself for tracing all his movements and for his arrest in Ethiopia. So proud of the Dutch police and persecutors who worked on this for 10 years.
Eritrean asylum seekers in ICE detention are threatening suicide rather than face forced return. That alone should stop every deportation immediately. Any policy that drives people to this level of despair is a humanitarian failure that demands urgent correction.
Years ago Canada tried to deport an Eritrean man, he wrote a very touching letter explaining what it took for him to get out of Eritrea & to reach Canada & commited suicide before his deportation. His name was Habtom 💔 #FreeEritrea
‘You sneak in and hope you make it back’: the Sudanese volunteers risking it all to bring care to millions Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms network didn’t mind missing out on the Nobel peace prize because ‘we only want to help’
I wonder how he looks and how he will feel to see everything after spending many years in one of the worst prison conditions in the world. It's a great news and at the same time to find out many of those his age & friends are neither alive nor in the country. It's good that he came out alive.❤️
Good news coming out of Eritrea, 7 prisoners of conscience who have been held incomunicado and without any charges for over 18 years were released today. One of the prisoners released today was Zeregabir, who was a renowned Eritrean/Ethiopian cyclist and a big business man. Zeregabir was my neighbor back home, he was someone that I loved and who was a father figure to me. I never thought he would be alive after all this years.

Gaining citizenship by birth has been standard practice in the US, now Trump wants to change that. In Sweden there has been similar discussions on taking back citizenship/ deporting citizens.
In case you haven't understood yet, first they go after migrants/refugees and then after neutralized citizens and eventually after everyone of you.
The sheer amount of social media goodbye posts from Palestinians in Gaza that I’ve been seeing lately breaks my fucking heart. I am sick to my stomach and my heart is broken watching these innocent people being massacred with our governments complicity.
The Trump administration conceded in a court filing Monday that it mistakenly deported a Maryland father to El Salvador “because of an administrative error” and argued it could not return him because he’s now in Salvadoran custody.
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and the Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte (GFF) - The Society of Civil Rights - have filed a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) against Germany for its Federal Intelligence Service Act (BND Act).
The organisations are reacting to inadequate reforms to the law, which does not take sufficient account of the necessary protection of media professionals. The decision could be a landmark judgement that would not only have an impact on the legal situation in Germany, but also trigger legal upgrades in all member states of the Council of Europe.
In the opinion of RSF and GFF, the German foreign intelligence service violates several fundamental human rights under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Following the provisions of the ECHR and the Court's case law, intelligence gathering must have precisely identifiable objectives and may only be used for specific purposes, confidentiality relationships between media professionals and their sources require special protection.
It has been a week since a white terrorist killed 7 women and 3 men, all victims were immigrants. We heard him saying "get out of Europe" while shooting, Swedish police are still trying to find out the motive. Gaslighting us by refusing to call him a terrorist and refuse to see the killing as a terror attack against minority people in Sweden. We all know what the police, media & the government would say had it been a brown or black person who committed the terror attack. Fuck Swedish democrats!
