Meron Estefanos@timnitGebru I was invited to speak at their Africa event in Arusha that they hold once every 10 years, they covered travel and a week hotel stay. Crazy thing first they insisted that I have to say in my speech "I am the light house of refugees", then they expected me an activist to pay to join the conference for the remaining days of the conference which after the speaker discount it would have costed me around $3000 USD. I decided not to go of course.
