@inarticulatequilter I'd maybe patch there. Get some sturdy fabric to put over the hole cover both sides with fabric you like the look of and quilt everything together.

Extend an inch or two past the hike so you have space to really do a lot of stitching to make it sturdy. Then try again with the grommet. (Test on scrap first!)

It'll look like you reinforced around the grommet. You could do similar even without making a hole first at the other grommets if you like the look.

The Tuesday After Labour Day

Thirty years ago this week, I began grade seven. Grade seven was terrible. Here's the story from the last time I wrote about this here. But the short version is: that year, I was subjected to a year long bullying campaign with elements of sexual harassment. I'm writing about this again for two reasons. First, I think I've figured out a part of the reason I never told anyone.

@futurebird I have never heard that, but if I did, I would imagine a sheep knitting a sweater and assume that you're doing a lot of work for no real benefit.

It's long form, not much limitation on post length, but the primary interaction is the quote-post.

Makes for some really interesting conversation.

@pausingplace I think for replacing my favorite parts of Twitter (people chatting and thinking out loud on a variety of topics) the best thing I've picked up has been Tumblr.
