to better outline why this is really cool (i'm sitting next to @elly and i'm enjoying the ride):
amdgpu was whacked from wayland, passed to the VM, windows initialized it and it started working, even though it was broken on stock UEFI fw
this is a consumer platform! with coreboot! AND WORKING PCIE HOTPLUGGING -
