I was finally able to get some sleep this morning. I'm just shaking my head at how it's still in the high 70s, low 80s for November. We're about a month away from winter, but it still feels like late summer. Just yikes.

As for Tuesday's travesty, my head's a bit clearer and I can write today.

@mekkaokereke It's wild because I was listening to my local public radio show that had a post-election discussion. One white woman called in to say she voted against Harris (and not *for* Trump) because her policies were too socialist/radical.

Does not matter how hard she ran to the center or right, moderates/swing voters were always going to believe she was some radical leftist. Sometimes I feel like Dems should just go for it, if they're going to be painted like that anyway.

Yeah, I'm pretty devastated. I've mostly been commiserating with friends, and we're just figuring out what to do next. I don't think I'll be getting much writing done. I just don't have the energy.

America showed us exactly who we are, and survival is the name of the resistance game. Dark times are ahead, but there's no point in giving up either.

We decided to head to the polls a few hours before work since they were unlikely to be busy during lunch. We were in and out pretty quick, but the place was definitely lively. I'm betting there will be a late afternoon rush.

Susan B Anthony was the first in a long line of "white feminists" who work against their own interests by refusing to ally with Black women. They take precious time out from ending their own oppression, to heap more oppression onto Black women🙂🙃

Susan B Anthony is closer to Margarie Taylor Green than to Elizabeth Warren. She would almost certainly be a Trump voter.

It's Nov 5th, 2024. If the majority of white women vote with Black women today, it would be the 1st time in almost 100 years.

Susan B Anthony was a bad person. She didn't fight for "women's right to vote " She fought for "*White* women's right to vote." It would be one thing if she just didn't focus on Black folks' right to vote, but she actively worked against it. As hard as she fought for White women to get to vote, she actively campaigned against the Black vote and constructed a coalition of racists to keep Black feminists out, and hold Black voters back.

She was a white supremacist. White supremacists are bad
