Okay, it seems like the big .social instance is acting funky. Sometimes there are no notifications, other times they show up, and on Pinafore I only see notifications from a month ago. Are we getting another big wave of users to the Fediverse?

Part 2 of my Comix Zone livestream is now up on @damagecontrolblog's YouTube channel. In this part I eventually make it out of the temple and into the game's final stage. Unfortunately, I get my butt kicked and have a hard time getting back there.

This makes me wonder if the PS5 slim digital is selling well, or if everyone is just going for the disc model. It's not a terrible deal (not great either) if you can nab a disc drive at MSRP instead of scalper prices.

Some fun facts. I decided to run Comix Zone back on the Sega Genesis Mini because it has save states. Made it to the final boss. The last stage of the game is incredibly cheap. Gotta love how some potential power ups might be bombs.

The controller supplied with the Mini sucks compared to my 8Bitdo.

Finally back from the party. The music was so loud I couldn't talk to anyone. Also, it was 11pm and the cake wasn't cut. No cake at birthday party is disappointing.

But hey, there was cigarette candy. (I can't believe they still sell this stuff! It was subpar candy when I was a kid.)

I'm at my step sister's 60th birthday party. We weren't particularly close and she's 20 years older than me. Let me tell you, it's awkward as hell to have so many people remember you from when you were a child, but you don't remember them. 😳

Part of my joy comes from blocking angry dudes that feel entitled to engagement. Highly recommend it! 👍🏿

I don't have to talk with everybody. There are so many people that are genuinely curious and open minded, that I just don't have to deal with these dudes.

There's an effectively infinite supply of "dudes on the internet." There is absolutely no shortage. The marginal cost of blocking one, is close to zero.

"Well, what about the marketplace of ideas huh? Not very inclusive of you!"
